Being your own best friend through kindness to yourself.

Story behind the brand:

This began in 2021. This was part of her return to art after she quit for a couple years. Skylar wanted to show the importance of having a healthy relationship with yourself. Specifically within herself during her struggles with mental health. She wanted Bff Girls to mean being your own best friend when others have given up on you, while also staying kind and true to yourself. This was true to her when Sky forgot who she was after her struggles with mental health. She was able to regain a connection through her characters, and their various personalities.

Fashion Illustration Influences:

Her biggest influences seen in her fashion illustrations are Renè Bouchè who focus is on ink, watercolor, charcoal and Gouache, as well Alfredo Bouret who focused on Pen, Ink and Gouache, and Bil Donovan who focuses on watercolor illustrations. From her enjoyment by looking at Vogue, Tatler and Vanity Fair. This sparked her interest into wanting to learning how to draw. When she got older, it sparked her huge interest in gaining Intermediate Drawing skills through figure drawing.

Wow, these drawings are very unique with elegance with bold expression
